Decided to try a new place for Father's Day and we were not disappointed! This restaurant is located in a plaza with ample parking. They have indoor and outdoor seating but we chose to sit indoors. We were pleasantly surprised to know they had live music although I'm unsure if it's a regular thing or something special they did for Father's Day. Food was good, portions are fair and the drinks were delicious. I took off a star because service could have been better but overall I would recommend this place for someone looking for enjoy some Cuban food.

absolutely loved this spot!!!! They had a great live music band playing Saturday night. super quick service and quick seating walked in and waited less than 10 min. I tried the senora deisy cocktail which was rum based w passionfruit and tamarindo it was the besttttt, love a good passionfruit cocktail! The ropa vieja came with with rice black beans and platano maduros, such a big portion definitely shareable. We got a side of yucca frita which I preferred over the tostones ( a litttle low on salt) but the mojo that came with them was amazing!

As a Cuban guy from Miami, I feel that I can leave an honest and fair review for this restaurant. First of all, this place really knows how to set the vibe when it comes to their live music! When I arrived, they had a whole Cuban band playing live music until till the time I left. The food here is pretty tasty. The Lechon Asado was delicious. My girlfriend ordered the Masita de puerco Fritas and it was pretty good also. My tostones appetizer was kind of disappointing, but I should've known better considering it was a spin off of a traditional Cuban dish. But they do bring you nice complimentary Cuban bread when you're seated. I tried a few different cocktails that I can't remember the names of but they were all really good. Overall, very enjoyable experience.

Abit of Miami in So Cal. A pure hidden gem. I found this gem on Yelp after playing pickleball in the area. Not sure what I expected, but once we found this hidden gem. We knew it was the right place. It's hidden in a mini mall, yes just keep driving you will find it. Once we pulled up we heard the live music. The ambiance is soo beautiful. Never been to Miami, but this is what I see Miami as. We sat outside, and listened to the live Cuban Music. Service was on point, never had an issue. We ordered the mufungo and the shrimp spicy dish. Sooo delicious!! This is definitely a hidden gem not to miss.

This place rocks. Went there for a Father's Day Surprise on Saturday of the weekend. The ambiance, food and the Paloma cocktails were all on point. The staff were very good and patient while taking multiple orders. Recommend the yucca balls, papa reillenas, cuban sandwiches and tres leches cake. Get a Paloma- super smooth. Will be back when in area. Secure hidden gem from outside, they have live music on weekends so going to try it. Get a reservation for large parties- they do require c card to hold table. I love this place!

I thought I have reviewed this restaurant already! My husband and I tried to make reservations several times and were unsuccessful. We were able to tag along with our friends that was able to get reservations with open table at a reasonable time 7pm. Very lively especially on Fridays and Saturdays. It's a decent size restaurant but bit crowded. They have live band playing Friday and Saturday, no wonder it is hard to get a reservation. Do book in advance if you want to go here. Food wise was very good. I really wanted to try the LECHON and ordered the Lechon asado. Every dish came with plantain chips and the dip was divine. It was an hole in the wall experience. Didn't know expected to have a Cuban restaurant in our backyard. We just can't pop in to get seated right away. Reservation is needed here and needed to be made in advance.

It's a vibe for sure, good food, chill atmosphere, great server who took my groups pics over n over (sorry n thank you) and live music I only had 1 drink and it was good but my friends kept raving about their fruity drinks. Went to celebrate a friends birthday even gave us a cake and the band sang happy birthday. I ordered the salmon and loved it! It was just tasty. Nothing fancy n wow to it but it was very tasty. The live band started playing and in minutes a handful of ladies started dancing. Plenty of parking good for groups and drinks

It was my first time here and I absolutely loved it. Isla looks unassuming from the outside and is located in an equally unassuming parking lot with just a few business. So imagine my surprise when I walked up to find a very modern, open spaced restaurant. There's also outdoor seating and a space for a band (yes! They have live music!) We felt lucky to get a table as the place was getting pretty busy. The server greeted us fairly quickly and made a few drink recommendations. We went with two rum drinks - El Matata and Senora Deysi. The first one was delicious - has coconut and pineapple flavors. The second was also good but it has tamarind so is a bit sour. (When the buzz kicks in the sour won't bother you at all lol). To start we were served plantain chips with a yummy and very garlic-y dip. We also ordered the beef empanadas, which were sooo good. The crust was thin and crispy and the beef was flavorful. They make perfect starters as they are fairly light. For entrees we ordered the lechon asado and ropa vieja. The flavor of the lechon was really good - juicy, oniony, and citrusy. The ropa vieja also had great flavor and was pretty tender. Both dishes came with the traditional rice, beans, and fried plantains. And for dessert, we had the flan which I really liked because it had a thicker custard than typical flan. Overall this is a great place to come with family or friends. They seem to be able to accommodate large parties as well. I'd love to come back and sit in the patio when they have a band.
